Direct Hit’s brand new video is premiering over at Alternative Press! Click here to watch the video for “Snickers or Reese’s (Pick Up the Pieces),” the lead track from their debut album, Domesplitter. Our reissue of this record will officially drop on April 14th; however, you can order it now, or grab one from the band directly at one of their shows with Bowling For Soup. The tour is in full swing now, and you can check out the dates here. Direct Hit front-man Nick Woods explains the song’s origins:
“Snickers or Reese’s (Pick Up the Pieces)” is about someone I used to know who threatened to hurt my wife and me after I cut ties with him for being a bad friend. This was a long time ago, when Direct Hit was still releasing music for free on the internet, and a year or two before Domesplitter came out. I got 30 phone calls in a row from him one afternoon and had to change my phone number, so I wrote this song to get some demons out that night. It’s about how I just wanted him to go away and leave me alone…sort of a manic paranoia. We wanted this video to reflect that.” – Nick
