As the first band to sign to Fat Wreck Chords and the label’s flagship since its inception, Lagwagon continues to forge a unique path through today’s complex musical landscape. The band maintains a sense of humor about their enviable longevity with the title of their latest offering, but the content of the album is anything but laughable. The new 7-song EP, I Think My Older Brother Used To Listen To Lagwagon, is the follow-up to their critically acclaimed full length, Resolve, released in 2005. They will tour the U.S. & Canada with MXPX, Only Crime, and TAT beginning next week:

The Real McKenzies are true gadabouts at heart. Fueled by an insatiable appetite for filthy punk shows, Scotch whiskey, and all out mayhem, these kilt-clad punks continue on their quest to bring their patented brand of music to the masses. Off The Leash embodies the spirit of The Real McKenzies through a melding of driving punk rhythms and traditional Scottish melodies. Guitars and bagpipes play off each other as Paul McKenzie spins yarns of times long past and recounts endless drunken revelries. The unbridled energy and merriment of Off The Leash will immediately have the listener hoisting a pint glass and singing along to the infectious 13 tracks. Before you buy the record, check out MP3s of :The Lads Who Fought and Won and Chip!
Star Fucking Hipsters have completed their first full length record, Until We’re Dead, and it will be available September 30th on CD and LP from Fat Wreck Chords. If you live in the NYC area, go see them live for FREE on August 3rd at Tompkins Square Park for the 20th Anniversary of the Tompkins Square Police Riots with Leftover Crack, Death Mold, Witch Hunt & others.
