Fat Wreck Chords is thrilled to announce another collaboration with Rise Against! On April 16th, happily known as Record Store Day; we’ll release a limited edition three song picture disc titled Join the Ranks. The onetime pressing will be limited to 1000 copies, and features three songs never before available on Rise Against vinyl. Check your favorite indie record store to get your hands on a copy! Rise Against had this to say about the release below:
Fat Wreck put us on the map, and “Join The Ranks” was the very first song we ever officially released on a proper label. “Gethsemane” was recorded in an old oil factory in Chicago, the same factory where we would go on to film our first video. Along with “Generation Lost”, this seven inch is long overdue and we’re happy to team up with our old friends at Fat to do it.
Fat Wreck Chords will release Total Clarity on May 24th. Check out what Tom Gabel posted on his blog below. Click here to view their tour dates and stay tuned for additional details.
On May 24th Fat Wreck Chords is releasing “Total Clarity”, a collection of demos and unreleased songs (and some demos that got leaked, wink, wink) we recorded when preparing to make the album “Searching For A Former Clarity”. Check the cover art by Steak Mtn. Here’s the tracklisting…
We’ve started preorders for Pour Habit’s Got Your Back CD/LP as well as Teenage Bottlerocket’s Mutilate Me 7”. The TBR 7” has two versions with the color of vinyl matching their respective covers. Get em!
Wanna get your hands on a limited pressing of both “Fuck the Kids” and “Surfer” on colored vinyl and simultaneously help out with the tragedy in Japan? Of course you do, cause everyone knows that if NOFX fans are known for anything it’s their compassionate nature…
Seriously, though, the Japanese people have always been huge supporters of FAT, generous hosts to our touring bands, and great supporters of punk rock in general. So it’s time for us to all chip in for the cause, which is why all of the proceeds from your purchase will go directly to Japanese aid.
It’s a win win. You get two super rare pieces of NOFX vinyl and you come out looking like a saint. Besides who are we kidding, you’re gonna make a 300% profit on your investment when you throw these up on eBay in a couple weeks.
If you can’t afford the 7”s please give what you can to one of the many organizations helping out Japan. Stay strong Japan.
