NOFX live LP now available, Propagandhi Classic Colored Vinyl & Fat Tour 2008 official dates

We’re really sorry about the new NOFX live LP being delayed so we decided to put it on sale along with the next installment of the Fat Classic colored vinyl series, *Propagandhi*’s How To Clean Everything, on conflict-free gold vinyl! I don’t even want to hear your sorry excuse for not being signed up for the Fat newsletter to get exclusive comments like this from Prop singer, Chris Hannah, about this classic Fat release:

“The best thing about this record was seeing Wayne Gretzky at the airport. Other than that it is notable only in that sales from this record paid for the security walls we put up around our mansions."

We also posted the official dates for the US Fat Tour 2008 featuring NOFX, NO USE FOR A NAME, AMERICAN STEEL and THE FLATLINERS and here’s some information about the shows…

After their globetrotting and general misadventures around the world, NOFX are home and they have just confirmed a proper U.S. tour. It kicks off on February 22nd at the House of Blues in Orlando, FL and stops in Louisiana, Oklahoma, Missouri, and—cue the trumpets—Texas! After ten years of Warped Touring the Lone Star state, NOFX are going to play club shows in Houston, El Paso, Austin, and Dallas. The tour will feature No Use For A Name as main support, with Canadian youngsters, The Flatliners, opening the Southern leg of the tour. American Steel will take over for the second Northwestern leg (dates coming real soon). The third leg of the tour will be in the Northeast and at this point it is a total mystery. The fourth and final leg will be closer to home and god knows when this will happen.

Other tidbits: No Use For A Name just got back from Fort Collins, Colorado where they recorded a new record with the legendary Bill Stevenson at the Blasting Room. They will be performing some new songs on tour long before the full length drops. Also, after pissing everyone off by fading out the longest punk song ever on their new live CD, NOFX will be performing “The Decline” in it’s entirety in cities where they haven’t played it before…and if they are sober enough.

All you Southern belles, click here to check out the dates & get your tickets online—we’ve even provided the links, m’ladies! Everybody else, look sharp, more show news coming soon!

New NOFX live album out now & headlining the US Fat Tour 2008

Earlier this year NOFX set out to capture the essence of their live show, or maybe they were just looking for an excuse to get wasted, we’re not really sure. Regardless of their intentions, what resulted is their drunkest, funnest, best sounding recording ever with new versions of old songs and some rare songs too. This is about as close as you are going to get to seeing the band without having to go to the Warped Tour… wait a second, they’re actually doing a US tour and it’s the 2008 Fat Tour! That’s right, NOFX are set to headline a Fat Tour early next year with No Use For a Name as main support! American Steel and The Flatliners will each open separate legs of the tour. Official press release, tour dates and ticket links coming soon!

Me First and the Gimme Gimmes Australian tour in January

The Gimmes are headed to Australia in January…without FAT MIKE (boo) but with MELVIN (yeah)! Here’s a photo and statement from the band…

*Fat Mike can’t/won’t go to Australia and New Zealand with the Gimmes in January because he misses his daughter too much and NOFX has gotten themselves so busy making their documentary, that he has been, and will continue to be, on the road part of each and every month next year. Fortunately Eric Melvin has no kids; he had such a good time covering for Mike in Europe last summer and the Gimmes had such a good time having him along, that he has agreed to do it again this January. So if any of you Aussies or Kiwis are pissed, fine… don’t come, but please keep in mind:

a) Melvin does not talk as much so you get “more covers, less babble”
b) It was pretty much this or nothing

Fake Jackson will continue to cover for his brother Jake Jackson who we all know is very busy touring with his “side project”.*

PS: Cash will go on sale Tuesday, Nov. 6th at 11 AM PST

The Loved Ones album title, studio photos and tour with NOFX

Philadelphia’s, the Loved Ones, recently spent the month of September in the studio recording their brand new record, Build and Burn, which is due out on Feb. 5th, 2008. The album was produced by Pete Steinkopf and Bryan Keinlen from the Bouncing Souls and it features a slew of cameos like the Hold Steady‘s Franz Nicolay (piano, Hammond B3 organ, harmonica, accordion, saw) and Tad Kubler (guitar). The new album hints at Americana rock n’ roll with expanded instrumentation, plenty of backing vocals and a thematic concept based on the album title. The band recently solidified their lineup with the addition of Dave Walsh and Chris Gonzalez of the Explosion on guitar and bass. Expect to see a series of videos from the studio, a brand new song on our upcoming online winter sampler and touring plans that take the Loved Ones through New Year’s Eve 2008! Check out these studio photos and try to catch the band on their upcoming European tour in November which includes eight shows supporting NOFX.

Ok, enough wordy album crap, check out my Motorhead pumpkin!
