We are proud to add the Star Fucking Hipsters to the Fat roster! This politically progressive, creative super group of punks, fronted by Sturgeon of Leftover Crack, have been in the studio arguing with Fat Mike here in San Francisco. Check out their myspace page for info about the band and news about the debut album. With CD sales at a record high and the “F” word in the band name, weâre sure this record is destined for goldâ¦

Here is a message from the band…
Hello people, we don’t normally bother y’all, but we just thought we’d let you know that strangely enough, we have a TV show. It’s called Backstage Passport and it premieres Tuesday night (April 15th) at 10pm EST on FUSE TV. It’s pretty good. A shit fuck of a lot better than Pants Off Dance Off. Well, check out the trailer and decide for yourself. Oh, and if you have a Nielson Box, turn that sucker on. Later, NOFX.
You may have noticed that we don’t have any new releases scheduled after No Use for a Name but that is because we are moving the Fat office. We have been at the same location for 15 years and now the city wants to demolish our building so the bus drivers have a place to heat up their soup and watch Judge Judy. We even made Fat Mike clean out his office which was so dirty it looked like it had been robbed. Don’t fear though because we are working on new releases from the Real McKenzies, Me First and the Gimme Gimmes, Dead To Me, more Classic Colored Vinyl and a few other surprises.
No Use for a Name are one of independent music’s most dominant and everlasting forces and nothing could solidify their firm grip on the underground more than their upcoming 9th proper studio release. The band recorded in Ft. Collins, CO at the Blasting Room with legendary producer Bill Stevenson (Descendents, Black Flag, Only Crime). This could very well be their best record to date, both in song quality and production value and Fat Mike thinks it’s the “best NUFAN record since the 90’s”. The 14 song record is a perfect blend of all their previous albums. The band is about to head out on an extensive European run appropriately titled âThe Feel Good Tour of the Yearâ followed by the second leg of the Fat Tour 2008 and then a trip to Australia with Strung Out. A video for the song âBiggest Lieâ has just been completed and you can see a few still photos from the shoot here. We have autographed copies of the CD (while supplies last) for those of you that order directly from us.
