We haven’t done a full tour of the Midwest since my wife got pregnant. So I’m mostly excited to see long-distance pals that I haven’t seen in almost two years. “Villain Alcoholic” is the saddest song on our new album. It might be the saddest one we’ve ever written. Because unlike most of our material, it’s about actual feelings and relationships, no matter how unrealistic they are, and how they fall apart.
